Goldfish can be and awesome addition to your household. They are very intelligent and very beautiful fish. However, there are some cons you should consider before getting to attached to the idea! Goldfish do produce a lot of waste which commonly builds up ammonia in the tank. This buildup can cause ammonia burns and poison your fish.
Some easy ways to avoid this problem are…
– Making sure you are starting off with a big enough tank
– Not using a heater in your tank
– Use gravel in the bottom of your tank
-Use an extra strong filter
– CLEAN THE TANK REGULARLY!!!
